Operation Christmas Child : Volunteer Day : 16 November 2006

As part of our work's commitment to get involved in our communities, I organised for the girls from my office to create a shoebox of love for Operation Christmas Child which is run by Samaritan's Purse.

In addition, we decided to spend our 1 Volunteer day for this financial year at the processing centre in Blacktown where we were checking the shoeboxes - filling them with something to love, something to write with, something to eat, something to use for hygiene and something to wear! They expect to process approximately 43,000 boxes which will be distributed to children all over the world ... it was great fun ... here are some photos from the day's activities!!
