Lake Macquarie Getaway

In April 2005, a bunch of us took a long weekend and drove up north to Lake Macquarie where we stayed at Sophie's parent's lakeside cottage ... we spent a day wine tasting in the Hunter Valley and a day in Newcastle where we saw dolphins in the Newcastle harbour! It was a really fun weekend ... a lot of laughs over many card games, a few bottles of fine wine and some good food!

On the Sunday, we all drove up to Newcastle for the day and went to "The Brewery" on the harbour front for a pub lunch ...

Dolphin fun ... there was a big pod of dolphins frolicking around the harbour ...





In between the dolphin playground, some big ships were being manouevred around ... this one was turned around 180 degrees to go down a different chanel ... it was pretty amazing to watch boys with their big "toys"!!
